12^th Friends of Balboa Park Annual Awards Luncheon

The Friends of Balboa Park Annual Awards Luncheon honors volunteer leadership and provides public recognition of people and projects in Balboa Park.

The luncheon is held at the Balboa Park Club in Balboa Park and includes a reception starting at 11 am, followed by a catered luncheon and program from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.   Invitations will be mailed in mid -September and online event registration will be available as well.

This year’s Millennium Award honorees represent committed volunteer leadership and years of philanthropy for the betterment of Balboa Park:

• Patrons of the Prado
• House of Pacific Relations/International Cottages, Inc.

Inspiration Awards will be presented Balboa Park volunteers for their exceptional dedication. This year’s honorees are:

• Jane Cowgill – San Diego History Center and The Old Globe
• Betsy Gardner – San Diego Junior Theatre
• Kay Harry – San Diego Floral Association
• Mary Toomey – San Diego Natural History Museum
• William Swank – Community Christmas Center
